Can husband’s assets be seized

I acquired credit card debt prior to marriage, one card. Can husband’s assets be seized, (bank acct. property. They are claiming community property….bank acct. in both names…

Answer: It really depends on your state(s) laws and how the card and assets therefrom were obtained, used and kept. Your best bet may be to see if any of your Fair Debt Collection Practices Act rights are being violated in the collection process and/or hiring an attorney to help you settle the debts for less than you owe.
